Information Technology plays an important role in today’s Super Yacht Industry. Sunseeker are the latest Super Yacht Builder and Designer to adopt Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). PLC is effectively an Ethernet Network with at least 2 networked computers and monitors. Attached to the on board Super Yacht network are a number of sensors sometimes up to 200 which gather and store data from around the Super Yacht. The collected data is subsequently presented on the bridge display and normally in the engine room. The system can be used to manage and control heating, engine temperatures, alarm systems and bilge and ballast water levels. Touch screen controls mean that systems can be operated and monitored at the same time.

The benefits of this system are considerable as the number of data sensors can be easily increased providing flexibility and systems no longer need to be hard wired from source all the way to the bridge. This results in shorter wiring runs.

Lunch at Limewood Corporate Yacht Charter

A very exclusive lunch at Limewood Hotel, in the heart of The New Forest. Solent Marine Events provided a luxury Sunseeker Charter Yacht to pick up our guests in Ocean Village Marina, Southampton. After a refreshing cruise down Southampton Water and The Solent the Sunseeker arrived in Lymington Marina. Our Bentley Motor Car was waiting to transport our guests to Limewood. After an outstanding lunch the luxury Bentley purred out of the Limewood grounds towards Lymington where the Sunseeker Charter Yacht was waiting, crew on board and ready to go.

Coffee was served as the Sunseeker Motor Yacht eased its moorings and entered the Lymington River. Once clear of Lymington the throttles were opened and the powerful diesel engines roared into life. 2012 looks like a very special year for unique corporate entertainment opportunities in The Solent. Winter Corporate Team Building Event

The 25^th November 2011 was a special day for a special Corporate Team Building Exercise in The Solent. The corporate team incentive day had been booked with Solent Marine Events late August and was designed to reward a high performance corporate sales team. Solent Marine Events deployed a luxury 61ft Sunseeker Motor Yacht from Ocean Village Marina, Southampton. Its hard to believe just how spectacular the weather was on the 25^th November, bright warm sunshine on a winters day! There was no need to even switch on the Sunseeker Motor Yachts sophisticated heating or air conditioning systems as it was so comfortable and enjoyable in the warm natural sun. A high speed Sunseeker Cruise to the Needles was followed by lunch at The George Hotel, Yarmouth. At this time of year Yarmouth, Isle of Wight is very quite and the large luxury Sunseeker Motor Yacht could easily berth alongside in the beautiful old harbour.

After an excellent lunch, the luxury Sunseeker Motor Yacht eased its moorings and quietly slipped out of the picturesque fishing harbour and off into The Solent for an afternoons Sunseeker Cruise. The wind had dropped and the tide turned making The Solent seas flat and smooth. The Sunseeker Motor Yacht reached speeds of 35 knots as it purred up the peaceful Solent Waters.
